In a public Tada-O Gate raid led by Magister Magna Download, 74 raiders split a 2.27 billion credit bonanza, netting 30.6 million each.
The lively pre-raid auction for the loot was conducted masterfully by WarAce. In the auction, Proconsul MightyPW overcame fierce competition to win a 105% quality Fury projectile gun for a record 630 million. Other rare items also sold well.
Observers from other galaxies commented on the orderly conduct of the raid and distribution of the loot and auction proceeds.
"The Pegasus method for sharing loot is much superior to the lotto we conduct on Orion" commented Magister Magna Thing. "This way, all raiders get rewarded handsomely for the risks they take". Grand Master Altec, also from Orion, agreed and added "Eventually, after participating in a number of raids, everyone can compete for the rare items. In the lotto method, a newcomer raiding for the first time can win a top item, while some can participate in many raids and come out empty handed. This does not seem right. You have to earn these items, not win them by shear luck".
Ken'Shao Costes, who led one of the raiding groups, and failed a bid for the Devastating Gaze, joined the chorus, "Auctioning loot is the only equitable way to divide it"
Congratulations to the auction winners, and kudos to the raid leaders and participants.
