As the holiday season slowly winds down, various organizations have begun to submit their annual safety reports. Surprisingly, the Glenn Commission leads the way with a 15% reduction this month and an overall 19% reduction in both sector and starbase accidents. "It would appear that everyone is flying a little slower this year," said one dock supervisor. "Most of the accidents reported involved minor 'hull benders' as pilots jockey for position when entering and leaving Friendship 7. We haven't had a major incident along the nav ways in a long time." As most pilots are aware, Friendship 7 has become THE place for builders and traders, making it a very busy sector. "You can get just about anything at Friendship 7 now," said one Progen Sentinel, as he watched engineers installing a new set of Archos projectile launchers onto his ship.In other sectors around the galaxy, both Saturn and Valkyrie Twins reported 13% less accidents this year. This is quite a feat considering the increase in trade traffic between the two sectors. Because of the wide variety of organizations posting jobs at Aragoth Station, both the base and the weft have become conjested with pilots seeking wormholes and Jenquai Explorers trying to make a few extra credits for Christmas.
We at Net-7 hope that these encouraging figures help all of you to be more aware while travelling throughout the galaxy during this holiday season. And remember: Don't Drink and Fly! And have a safe and Happy New Year!
