The lone V'rix that Net-7 previously reported on in the Ardus sector of Aquitaine has recently been contacted by several Humans of all races, and is offering a mission to all pilots who are willing and able. The V'rix, calling itself 1Z1Z2L (translated to "Azazel") is requesting that pilots take a device of seeming V'rix manufacture to the remote sector of Glory's Orbit (in the Beta Hydri star system) and use it to "scan" the leaders of the Alliance of Human Races. This device, when activated, seems to both harm the scanned Leader, and call a squadron of powerful V'rix to the pilot who uses the device. The V'rix strike force is very dangerous, and have scanners capable of detecting even cloaked ships at a very long range. Please be warned if you make contact with Azazel to take a capable combat escort with you if you are intending to assist him.
In a related finding, the comm nets are buzzing with a rumor that an Alliance operative, who chooses not to disclose her name or location for fear of V'rix retaliation, claims she can modify Azazel's "Xerion" scanning device, which seems to actually be of Terran manufacture, so that it will not harm the leaders of the Alliance when you scan them with it, although it will still call the V'rix strike team.
More reports to follow - This reporter accepted Azazel's request for assistance, but due to a desire not to harm the Alliance leaders, is trying - so far unsuccessfully - to have his Xerion device modified.
