Fine Jewlery - A New Vocation for Explorers?

A large number of experienced Explorers have been seen wandering around the Galaxy collecting bits and pieces of things for the creation of beautiful and expensive trinkets.

One of the new goldsmiths, Master Taxidog, told this reporter: "Making fine jewels is an ancient art, which we have unfortunately all but forgotten. Even in these days of strife, humans can still appreciate the value of beauty".

Rediscovery of the art is probably connected to the new gate under construction in Wittberg. A few dare devil Explorers have managed to activate the gate, and discovered a thriving Bogeril culture.

Apparently their isolation in that hitherto unaccessible part of the galaxy allowed the Bogerils to preserve ancient arts, which our more technically-oriented society had allowed to lapse.

So far, only jewel making seems popular, but we can only guess which other ancient arts will be rediscovered once the gate is completed and entering the sector becomes less risky.
