Dishing Out Discipline

In a universe wrought with turmoil, confusion, and insurgence, it's a wonder the guild "Starfleet" can keep its 1,000 plus members in order. In fact, it's recently been discovered that they maintain a heavy regimen of pseudo-police officers in their ranks to disrupt any "unacceptable behavior" that they see fit to control.

This reporter was privy to one instance of discipline during a discussion that arose concerning what he believes is a pivotal point in economic history.

It began at the universal market where life forms from all over space come to trade, buy, and sell rare goods and services. On top of these services has been added the new "Call Forward" ability, recently obtained by Progen Sentinels. The first Sentinels to attain this prized ability began to advertise their services at what many at the market believe to be outrageously high prices. A discussion ensued regarding the proper monetary value at which this service should be associated. At this time, a member of the "Starfleet" guild (who's name shall be "Zeat" for fear of further repercussions) expressed his particular disgust for the price and accused the sellers of price gouging. A message played over the intercom at this point: "Would Zeat from the "Starfleet" guild please report to your closest command officer, please?" After disappearing for a few moments, Zeat returned to the marketplace, and I had a word with him. Apparently, a higher-up in the guild was not happy with the way he had acted, so they gave him a reprimand. Embarrassed, Zeat stormed out of the marketplace and to his ship. Grasping for one last word with the man, I gave chase. Zeat was heard to remark, "I've never heard of any other guild doing something like this. This is ridiculous. I'm going to bed!"

So how should one perceive this action by the command at "Starfleet"? Some would say that, to maintain order, those things need to be done from time to time. Others would say that a guild should act as a family and protect its own without dishing out shame. In this reporter's opinion, I would ask readers to remember the ancient Earth country called "Russia" and how its main form of governing called "Communism" led to its ultimate demise.
