Over the past month, InfinitiCorp, the creators and manufacturers of the "InfinitiGate", have been on an accelerated building process of a new gate in Witberg. The reasons for this gate are as of yet unknown. Speculation has it that Lady deWinter is merely attempting to gain access to new technologies, or that EarthCorps leader, Diego Herrera, is finally going to start a major push into Bogeril territory. One of the most extreme ideas is that the Bogeril themselves have come up with enough money to purchase a gate.Whatever the reason, the new sector could help explain exactly why the Bogerils act the way they do. While it is still not open to public use, several people have been granted special access (after signing insurance waivers) to explore the new sector before it is opened to the public.
The reports from the sector are, to say the least, astounding. While this reporter was only able to get a brief glimpse inside, it was exactly as one would imagine it. Dirty. Dirty and filled with trash. The primary space station of the area was surrounded by debris and filth, which would have made navigation difficult, to say the least. Also, many Scuttlebugs appeared to roam freely about the sector, apparently not contained in any way.
This all falls by the wayside though, as the strange phenomena, that will become this sector's trademark, became known to me. While InfinitiCorp specialists said it could happen, they claimed the chances were "near 0%". Apparently they are wrong, or this reporter just got lucky.
As I began to approach the space station, taking several snap shots, my ship suddenly started to shake violently. Assuming I was under attack, I looked at my scanners quickly. Nothing. I sent out a comm signal to the group I was with, only to be met with static. At this point, I noticed a green cloud was beginning to form around my ship. Frantically, impulse was pushed to the red line, but I got no response from the engines. And at this point, this reporter recognized the green cloud.
While I was ready for what happened next, I was not ready for where I had appeared. Looking around, this reporter noticed he was in the Antares system. Not quite baffled, but also not quite believing, I found it hard to comprehend that I been wormholed directly outside of Antares 1.
Suffice to say, I sense the environmental effects found in der Todesengel will be quite frustrating once it is officialy opened to the public.
