ECS Collosos, another casualty in the war.

Think about how much has changed since the beginning of the war and it is hard not to think of Primus or Swooping Eagle sectors. Primus once housed the training facilites for the Progen elite program, and Swooping Eagle has always been a home to our good friends, the Kokura. Yet in these times, it's easy to forget the Terrans, you never hear much about them, and normally forget that their necks are on the line with the rest of us. In retrospect, I think you have to attribute this to Herrera's pride and deWinter not wanting stocks to drop. Let's face it, they have the best PR department in the Galaxy. Today, however, I have the great weight of reporting the loss of one of our galaxies oldest veterans, one of the Terran's finest.

It's no secret that many of us Progen have taken this war to heart. Myself and a fellow Consul had been spending time near the Krakow pressing the V'rix near the "Eye of God" structure the V'rix seem to be building. I was heading out of the hot zones, and realizing I hadn't stopped by the ECS Collosos in a while, and figured I would fly by on my way out to see how things had passed since my last fly by. I'll leave the the attached picture to attest to what confronted me.

Ever since my days as a lancerate the ECS Collosos had been the silent defender of Akeron's Gate. When you went into the sector and needed a safe regrouping point outside the nav ways, there stood the old veteran, silent and as impossing as ever. It can be hard at times to remember that the Terrans are actively involved in the war, but with the loss of this proud veteran it is hard to deny. Call it nostalgia, but I will sorely miss it's presence, and have yet one more reason to continue pressing the offesive in this galactic war.

So near the galactic hub, a short distance from net-7, we often think of ourselves as "safe". With the loss of the ECS Collosos we must now question if the stations and docks we started our careers at will continue to be secure bastions for further generations. As you head out today, for that traderun to Fenris Observatory, that satelite deployment in Glenn, or to talk to Ariad, break out your weapons from the weapons locker and stop by Akeron's to pay your respects by squeezing off a few rounds at the V'rix as you fly by. With the loss of the Collosos, we are now in this together.
