Chavez spokesman, Ameba, asked several galactic governments for amnesty today. Hoping to gain asylum and safe passage through many heavily populated sectors, Ameba's request comes to Am'orphous De'Sow as no real suprise. Am'orphous De'Sow is one of InfintiCorp's leading political analysts and has harsh views concerning the Chavez.

"They are pirates. Nothing more than houndbots and should be regarded as such." De'Sow said after Ameba's meeting with various government officials. "If we allow them this then it is only a matter of time before the Red Dragons ask for the same."

Others see the Chavez request as a direct result of the Red Dragons including Tn'econni Rednatsy'B.

Rednatsy'B was present during what many are calling the Freya Slaughter. Countless Chavez were murdered by eager pilots hoping to gain favor with Tzu, leader of the Red Dragons during this period. "I saw the wreckage. Too many were killed and for what? So they could be granted access to the sewer, to the inner circle of the Red Dragon?" Rdnatsy'B, who works closely with an annoymous government, believes that everyone should take Ameba's request seriously. "We do not tolerate piolts killing other pilots so why allow them to kill Chavez?"

Ethists and so called "pirate expert", Rygel Hynir understands how this topic can be morally confusing.
"We are presented with a group (Chavez) that operate on the fringes of acceptable society. They have and continue to pursue illegal activities which have been deemed as acts of piracy. And therein lies the dilema. Pilots, not acting as law keepers or even vigilantes are killing the Chavez in order to become pirates themselves, but only to become one of a different, opposing faction. This behavior is also considered piracy and is therefore illegal." Hynir also understands that by agreeing to the amnesty this would open the door to all other illegal organizations to request the same. He believes that the law must begin to protect Chavez, Red Dragons and of course other citizens to insure that the Freya Slaughter does not happen again. "Being a pirate is considered 'cool' as the kids would say, and for that status they do not mind becoming cold blooded murderers." Hynir concludes on a sad tone.

Ameba breiftly commented on the request for amnesty and had this to say. "The fact is we are not safe. Our kind has been targeted by the Red Dragon's for countless years, the Freya Slaughter is only a small taste of what I belive is to come. The Chavez, while conisidered nothing more than pirates have established a way of life, a culture. And now our way of life is bieing jeporadized. If something is not done, the Chavez will have no choice but to take matters in our own hands."
