The Red Dragon Ministry of Commerce has started classes on wormhole etiquette. The Jenquai branch of the MoC have decided that this would be a good time to show normal pilots the common ways that the Red Dragons use wormhole travel.

The classes will help Jenquai Explorers understand the fundamentals on wefts, wormhole creation, weft locations, how to "throw" other pilots and other activities.

For non-Jenquai explorers, the courses lend themselves to tipping, being polite in getting a wormhole, weft locations, steps needed to travel through the wormhole.

The Ministry of Commerce released the below steps on some common tips:

1. To achieve a womhole, it is common practive to Broadcast the wormhole on the Broadcast Channel. It is considered bad form to send private calls to JE's, or initiate groups with them. Also note that the Explorer channel is not a wormhole channel. The alternative for a general broadcast is buying a wormhole through the Market Channel.

2. Tipping is preferred. If the JE declares the wormhole a service, it will be considered proper form to tip the pilot. If you send a broadcast on wanting to buy, then the same rule applies, but this time you control the price. Some JE's will wormhole pilots for free, but this is not the norm, nor should you expect other pilots to wormhole you for free.

3. For JE's, the main hands-on class was on "throwing" the other pilot to a destinations' weft. Throwing is a term used to describe a JE wormholing another pilot to some other location, while not wormholing there themselves. The MoC class shows that the easiest way to achieve this is with a trade item in the JE's hold. Upon wormhole activation, the central computer scans the cargo hold for a trade item. Due to the gravitational effects of the wormhole, trade items are known to decrease in quality. The computer, as a safeguard, will ask the pilot if they wish to proceed through the wormhole. The JE can select 'Yes', to go through it, or click 'No' to stay where they are.

The rest of the courses will be taught later this year.

The MoC was supposed to release a funding report as well, but has been unable to release it due to a conflict of interest. The report will be re-released later after the original author gets the chance as he is currently away for vacation.
