Prospecting Iron Ore
Once you have docked at Nishino Research Facility, speak to Shin-Tzu Li. He is located at the Mail Hall past the two baydoors straight ahead. Speak to him by walking towards him and left-clicking on him. Your mouse cursor will turn into a talk bubble icon once you are in range to speak to him.

When you are finished speaking with Shin-Tzu Li, exit the Nishino Research Facility. To do this, turn around and leave the same way you entered. You should exit through the doors that have a letter "P" hovering above it. Left-click on your ship to exit the starbase.

Open your Navigation Map and plot a course to the Refuse Area. If you aren't sure where a location is, let your mouse cursor hover above the various question marks to see the name of the location. Click on the Refuse Area to plot your course and then click on the Warp Button.

Target an asteroid by clicking on it. Fly closer to it until the Prospect button above your targeting interface brightens. Click on the Prospect button to see what you can prospect from the asteroid. You want to prospect Iron Ore. Right click on the item to see what it is or let your mouse cursor hover above it. If it isn't Iron Ore, locate another asteroid and try again.

Once you've found Iron Ore, click on it to prospect it.

Your mission states that you need to find another asteroid that has Iron Ore to prospect. Find one and repeat the steps above.

When the asteroid explodes you can continue the Prospecting Iron Ore Mission or skip down to the Explosion mission. If you decide to return back to base after the Explosion mission, you will need to fly back to the Refuse Area and prospect the second asteroid of Iron Ore.

Once you have prospected Iron Ore from two asteroids, plot a course back to the Nishino Research Facility. Open your Navigation Map and click on the Nishino Research Facility. Now press the Warp Button. Target the Facility and press the Dock button. Talk to Shin-Tzu Li. He will still be at the Main Hall, past the two baydoors.

Explosion

An explosion occurred when you tried to prospect an asteroid! Return to Nishino Research Facility and speak to Shin-Tzu Li. Open your Navigation Map and click on the Nishino Research Facility. Now press the Warp Button. Press the Dock button when you reach the Research Facility.

Shin-Tzu Li is still in the Main Hall right past the two baydoors. Speak to him. If you were unable to prospect the second asteroid, finish that task now. Read the steps above and repeat them.

By now, you may have leveled up. Open the Character Information Screen and Megan will guide you through the process of upgrading your skills.

After you have spoken with Shin-Tzu Li, find Sai Siddhu for more training. She can be found on the right side of the Main Hall.

Hunting Haywire
Sai Siddhu has given you your next mission. You must exit the starbase and plot a course to the Decommissioned Transport.

You will find Haywires slowly flying through space near the Decommissioned Transport. You will easily be able to spot them because of the red icon that hovers above them. The red icon indicates it is a hostile entity.

Target a Haywire and fly close to it until your weapon is within range. You can tell if you're in range when the crosshairs on your weapon turn green. Fire your weapon by pressing the corresponding key on your keyboard (usually number 1) or by clicking on the weapon in your shortcut tray. Continue to fire your weapon until the Haywire has been destroyed.

Press the Loot Button and take the items displayed in the destroyed hull.

Plot a course back to the Nishino Research Facility and speak to Sai Siddhu.

Megan will show you how to use your vault at a starbase.

Prospecting Copper Ore
It's time to prospect Copper Ore. Exit the starbase and plot a course to the Decommissioned Transport.

Find an asteroid and press the Prospect button once you're within range. Check to see if it has Copper Ore to prospect. If it does, go ahead and prospect it. If not, find another asteroid.

Plot a course back to the Nishino Research Facility and speak to Sai Siddhu.

Sai Siddhu is quite impressed with you and has given you the schematics for a Dundari Corona Australis I PR 1. Locate a Manufacturing Terminal in the Main Hall and left-click on it.

Click on the Sundari Corona Australis I PR 1 recipe. Building it requires 1009 credits, a Proton Printed Circuit Board, a K3 Voltage Regulator, and a Vortex Gen12. If you don't have these items, you can buy them from Korash Sera. If you need more credits, sell any useless items to him. He is located at the brown center Merchant's Booth.

Go ahead and trade with him and buy the Vortex Gen12 and K3 Voltage Regulator.

Return to the Manufacturing Terminal and click on the Sundari Corona Australis I PR 1 recipe. Now press the highlighted Manufacture button.

If the Manufacture button isn't highlighted, make sure you have the correct items and that you have enough credits to afford it. If you do not have enough credits, you may sell extra items you have to a merchant. If you still do not have enough, destroy hostile entities and loot the items. Sell the looted items to a merchant for credits.

Open your Inventory and press the Equip Button. Drag Corona Australis I PR 1 to the available Devices slot and drop it in. It will automatically install. When you exit the starbase, make sure to drag the device to your shortcut tray for easy access.

Now it is time to speak with Kalas ben Joseph. You aren't quite ready to face the Tempest and should practice your skills. Kalas ben Joseph suggests prospecting asteroids and battle drones. You may even want to speak to Master Sevti aboard Jove's Fury in Jupiter and take the Pilgrimage.

If you decide to take the Pilgrimage, you must open your Navigation Map and plot a course to NAV Jupiter Gateway. When you arrive, target the Gate and then press the Gate button.

Now on the other side, plot a course to Jove's Fury. It will be the yellow question mark. Press the Dock button once you arrive at Jove's Fury.

Inside Jove's Fury you must find Master Sevti. She will be on your right in the Main Hall, past the two baydoors.

Jenquai Pilgrimage
When you're done speaking with Master Sevti, exit the starbase and plot a course to Ngozi Maru Memorial. When you arrive, press the Message button.

After you have learned the lore, it might be best to meditate. A true Jenquai would want to meditate.

Now plot a course to Jupiter Path the Fourth. Beyond that, you will see the Ruins of Jove City. Target it and press the Message button. When you have learned the lore, you should meditate.

Plot a course to Jupiter Path the Fifth. From there, go to Sha'ryun's Tear. Target it and press the Message button. Afterwards, you should meditate to take in what you have learned.

Now plot a course to the Mourning Circle. Target it and press the Message button. Now you should meditate.

Plot a course to Jove's Fury and speak with Master Sevti. You have completed your Pilgrimage. You will need to raise your experience to speak with Kalas ben Joseph. To return to the Nishino Research Facility, plot a course to Sector Gate to Io. Note: You will notice there are three different colored gates. They are mirror images of each other to reduce lag. It does not matter which gate you choose to go through.

Once you reach level eight, speak to Kalas ben Joseph.

Practice Cloaking
Kalas ben Joseph has sent too many Aspirants to their death. Because of his mistake, you must demonstrate that you can handle cloaking your ship.

Exit the Nishino Research Facility and plot a course to Pylon Alpha. When you arrive, activate your new Cloak skill. You can press the button on your shortcut tray or press corresponding key on your keyboard (Number 5). Now fly towards Pylon Beta. You can't warp to it so you must thrust towards it. After that, fly back to Pylon Alpha.

Head back to Nishino Research Facility and speak with Kalas ben Joseph.

The Tempest Test
Now that ben Joseph has given you such a wonderful pep talk, it's time to confront the Zenrei Tempest. Exit the starbase and plot a course to the Tempest Fringe. Don't let the warning scare you away.

When you arrive, activate your Cloaking Skill. If you don't activate it, you won't stand a chance against the Tempest. Target the Psionic Receiver below the Tempest. Now return to Kalas ben Joseph.

Congratulations, you have survived the Zenrei Tempest and are a part of the Sha'ha'dem! You are no longer an Aspirant, but now an Initiate. You have received a hull upgrade, a new reactor, and the Fold Space skill as well.
