Helpful Commands

While most game play in Earth & Beyond™ can be conducted by using interfaces directly, there are a number of useful key combination commands of which you should be aware.

Players can also find explanations for many of the commands in the lists below by hitting the ESCAPE button and clicking the CONTROL button on the GAME OPTIONS interface. Details on how to remap keyboard commands are located in the Interface Options section of this website.

Slash Commands

The following commands require you to hit ENTER first, as though you were going to broadcast to the zone.

Camera Slash Commands

/camera all All camera AI functions are enabled (warp, gate, loot, etc)
/camera basic Only basic camera AI is enabled
/camera help Lists all camera slash commands
/camera warp Turns the warping camera AI off
/camera loot Turns the looting camera AI off

Chat Slash Commands

/chat friends [player name] Adds a player to your friends list. Case sensitive.
/chat ignore [player name] Adds a player to your ignore list. Case sensitive
/setcolor [type][red][green][blue] Sets the color of the text for a variety of message types.

Group Slash Commands

/group accept Accept a group invitation
/group disband Allows the leader of the group to disband the group.
/group help Shows a brief help screen on the use of /group commands.
/group invite Invites the targeted player to join your group.
/group kick Allows the leader of the group to kick the targeted member of the group out.
/group refuse Decline a group invitation.
/group remove Allows you to remove yourself from a group. Please note that if a group leader uses /group remove this will disband the group.

Guild Slash Commands

/gu sends text to guild channel

We are also working on a graphical interface that will allow players to use guild functions without using slash commands.

HUD Commands
Note: Additional information about these commands is located in the Interface section of this website

/sethud closedist [value] Sets the distance at which the icons will appear at 100% in size. The value must be between 100 and 20,000.
/set fardist [value] Sets the distance that is the furthest you can see the icons. The value must be between 100 and 20,000.
/sethud minscale [value] Sets the smallest size the icons will appear. The value must be between 0.25 and 1.0

General Slash Commands

/affiliate Shows your current affiliation.
/follow You will "hook" to your current target and follow behind it. Steering your ship or moving in any way will disconnect you from the target.
/played Displays the creation date of the character and total time played.
/starbase reset moves the player to the center of the starbase.
/who Displays a list of players in the sector.
/who [full/partial name] [Level] Filters the /who list to look for specific players or a series of players. For example: Typing /who Bop will list all players with names beginning with those letters. This command is case sensitive.
/hide self tag turns the self name tag off.
/show self tag turns the self name tag on.
