There are two round buttons, surrounded by 4 arrows on the bottom of the screen. The leftmost set of arrows allows you to rotate the ship around an axis. Pressing the button in the middle resets the ship to the original position on the screen. The rightmost set of arrows allows you to move the ship up, down, left and right of the screen. The middle button resets the ship to the original position on the screen. These two sets of buttons can be used together to move your ship around and change its position around the axis.
The '+' and '-' buttons allow you to zoom in or out.
Hull
The Hull customization option gives you 3 hull and 3 wing styles to mix and match. Use the left and right arrows to scroll through the selections.
Paint Mode
There are a wealth of paint options you can use to customize your ship. We want you to experiment with this but have provided the basic information below. You may also select the RANDOM button to come up with a color scheme. Have fun with this!
Customize The Ship's Paint Job

There are 4 main ship sections that can be customized with paint. These are:
- The Hull (main body of the ship)
- The Wings
- The Profession (tail portion of the ship)
- The Engine
Each ship section can be customized with a PRIMARY and a SECONDARY color. The primary color is the main portion of that ship section (hull, wing, etc) and the secondary is a minor part of the ship section. Size of the primary and secondary selections may be dependant on the style of ship/ship part you have selected prior to ship customization.
You may select from either a GLOSSY or FLAT coat to paint your ship with. These two options give a slightly different sheen and shaded appearance to the color.
To select a color, left click and drag the mouse around the paint box. As you move the cursor around, the ship will change color.
Metals
There are three different metallic materials to choose from. You may use metals in either primary, secondary or both. However, if you choose a metal option, you will not be able paint over the surface.
Customize The Ship's Decal

Decals
Use the left and right arrows at the top of the Decal screen to scroll through a host of different decals for your ship. The insignias will appear on the top of wings. You may want to rotate your ship to see the different selections more clearly. If you do not want an insignia on the ship, click select 'NONE' from the decal selection window.
Ship Name
Finally, you'll be able to select your ship's name by left clicking first on the SHIP NAME button, then on the ENTER HERE button. This will place a text cursor in the button and permit you to type in the preferred name. You have a total of 20 spaces to use in creating the name and you may use any combination of spaces, letters and numbers. The name will appear on the side of your ship around the hull but the exact placement is determined by the style of your ship. You may want to zoom in, using the '+' button, to see the name more clearly.
You may also customize the color of the name appearing on your ship. To select a color, left click and drag the mouse around the paint box. As you move the cursor around, the name will change color.
If you are satisfied with your ship, left click the NEXT button to move to the character and galaxy selection screen. If you wish to make changes, click the PREVIOUS button to go back to the ship customization screen. If you click the PREVIOUS button until you reach the character creation screen, you will lose all ship customizations and must start over.
